German judge declare fixed gear as a legal brake

finally..

After the Berlin debate of brakeless or front-braked fixed gear riders being prosecuted by loosing their bikes, this made the whole thing getting back into discussion (oh no!). Well, any fixed gear rider know that the power of his legs at least can substitute the stopping power of the rear brake only. Now it´s official. Sorry, german only.

new FI dropouts 2010

superlight and stronger

Next year our fixed gear / single speed models will got this brand new dropout design. We integrated holes to shave some weight and also changed the tension bolt diameter from 5 to 4mm to increase wall thickness at that area. You will find our design next year on several frames from other manufacturers.

Sneak Preview

fixed/ free belt pulley design

No threads - no worries. The design is almost finished, some tiny changes will appear soon. Same chainline fixed and free with the matching new Kickflip hub. Watch out for the 2010 Peacemaker..

We love new and innovative ideas. Even more if the result stays simple and offers real improvements though. Some time ago we received an email from Arndt Menke from Berlin. He was at the final stage of his master thesis at UdK Berlin and needed some parts to complete a frame, which is the object of his work. And it is wood.

New Zealand CX champion Ron King about the Betty Leeds

These days one of our still rare to find steel beauties named Betty Leeds is based in Auckland, NZ at the office of Solo´s Paul Mason. He recently posted me some of the comments of the current New Zealand CX champion Ron King, who got his hands on the girl. Maybe you are asking why a cyclocross rider is reviewing a steel roadie.
