Well; I should have gotten used to it, but I am happy to see that I am still able to get surprised and yet don’t seem to have fully learned “expecting the unexpected”. This is what happened when I was in Shenzhen with Joanne (our Asia partner) and visited Jan Kole today. After years of working for the bike industry, Jan has settled down in Shenzhen where he lives with his wife Livia and his son Sander. Altogether, they run Colossi Cycling. The surprise was meeting Paolo (every time I meet this guy, he impresses me in a new way) from Columbus there, who was visiting Jan, too, together with Carlo. It didn’t need much time until we found ourselves in a hot steel-vs-others-discussion.

The very first 2010 items are ready to ship these days. We are working on the 2010 website with high pressure, it will go online in the first week of january with a brand new shop which offers some special products, as well as our standard lineup and of course the Monkey MOs Mallet. Just found this pics in the files of our picture server. Famous designer Luigi Colani in front of the very first FIXIE Inc. proto bike back in 2004. "I have never seen such a reduced, beautiful bicycle.." he said back then. Well, thanks man. We will keep up the work.

After the Berlin debate of brakeless or front-braked fixed gear riders being prosecuted by loosing their bikes, this made the whole thing getting back into discussion (oh no!). Well, any fixed gear rider know that the power of his legs at least can substitute the stopping power of the rear brake only. Now it´s official. Sorry, german only.
